Acupuncture for Insomnia

Dublin 2

I have been suffering with insomnia for around 5 years on and off and decided to try acupuncture as I found any western remedies(tablets) useless and at times they even made the situation worse… I am now into my third week and have found the treatment amazingly effective. I feel that I can describe it as life changing because a chronic inability to sleep eventually starts to control your health and life. I can now feel my situation improving gradually and naturally all the time.

How can acupuncture help?

Research and reviews have reliably shown that acupuncture is significantly more efficient that hypnotic drugs, no treatment and sham acupuncture.

Acupuncture has the ability to stimulate the nervous system where changes can occur in the body that will help reduce insomnia. Also, some acupuncture points have been shown to relax and de-activate the analytical brain which is responsible for insomnia and anxiety. Acupuncture can be safely combined with conventional treatments for the treatment of insomnia and can help to reduce the side-effects of medication.

At Equilibre Acupuncture Dublin, we also provide you with beneficial lifestyle advice that will complement the acupuncture treatment and bring you to better health and well-being.
