Portrait Cyrille Bonnard

“It’s my mission to help every person that comes to see me find back their health and start enjoying a better quality of life.”

While originally pursuing a career in music, Cyrille’s interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine began by witnessing the astonishing effects of acupuncture on musicians’ injuries. In particular, one of his music tutors, whose performance career was put on hold because of an injury, was successfully treated with acupuncture. His tutor, who had been told by doctors that nothing could be done for his condition, made a full recovery within six months after receiving a long course of acupuncture treatment.

Training and Professional Development

Cyrille eventually made the decision to further explore his interest in acupuncture and enrolled on a degree course in Traditional Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture) at the University of Salford, Manchester and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree. He completed postgraduate studies at the Guiyang College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Wang Ju-Yi Applied Channel Theory Research Center, both in China, and is committed to further developing his skills and knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine by regularly returning to Beijing, China, to study at the Wang Ju-Yi Applied Channel Theory Research Centre.

Professional Memberships

Cyrille is registered with the Acupuncture Foundation Professional Association (AFPA) in Ireland and the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and is bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice which are strictly enforced by both organisations.

Specialist in Channel Theory and Palpation

Since 2010, Cyrille has been using Channel Theory and Examination in his practice. It involves palpating, or feeling, the acupuncture channels that run along the patient’s forearms and lower legs which reveals more information about the patient’s condition and provides a better diagnosis. The benefits to the patient are a more accurate and efficient treatment.

Cyrille is a passionate advocate of Channel Theory and Examination. He has been studying the subject with the internationally acclaimed Dr. Wang Ju-Yi since 2010. He has visited him many times at the Wang Ju-Yi Applied Channel Theory Research Centre in Beijing and followed seminars with him in France and Holland. He invited Dr. Wang Ju-Yi twice to teach in Dublin in June 2012 and June 2013.
